- 1 bag of Garlic Asiago Cheese Bread, thawed to room temp
- 18 – 20 mini sausages (any kind will do)
- 1 T Vegetable oil
- Malagueta Pepper Aioli (ingredients listed below)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 t shallots, minced
- 1/2 t garlic, minced
- 10 Malagueta peppers, minced
- 5 oz mayonnaise
Preheat oven to 400F.
With oiled hands, knead each piece of Cheese Bread into a ball and roll into a hot dog shape. Depress the length of the Cheese Bread into a “hot dog” bun shape.
Place the mini sausage in the middle and crimp the edges of the dough around it. Continue with the remaining bites and mini sausages.
Place onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
Malagueta Pepper Aioli
Put the mayonnaise in a bowl. Set aside. In a pan sauté shallots and garlic with the malagueta peppers. Add the lime juice. Let cook for 1 minute. Add the mixture to the mayonnaise and mix well.
Serve the pigs in a blanket, hot, with the malagueta pepper aioli or your favorite topping. Enjoy!
