Mini In-N-Out Cheese Bread Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 bag of Cheese Bread
- 1.5 to 2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons pickle relish, drained
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 large onion, finely diced
- 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- American Cheese, cut into quarters
- Pickles
- Pepperoncini

Preheat oven to 400F.

Bake Cheese Bread according to instructions on the bag.

Mix mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, sugar, and vinegar in a small bowl. Set aside.

Finely dice or slice raw onions, tomatoes, and pepperoncini into slider-sized pieces. Tear iceberg lettuce into bite-sized squares.

Finely dice 1 large onion. Sauté in 1/2 tbsp oil and 1/4 tsp salt over low heat for 12 minutes until golden. Turn heat to medium, add 4 tbsp water (one tablespoon at a time, letting it evaporate each time) until dark brown and translucent.

Divide ground beef into 1.5 to 2 oz portions (makes 12–16). Flatten into thin circles slightly wider than your mini buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat 1–2 tbsp butter or oil over medium-high heat. Add patties. Sear for 1–2 minutes until crusty, flip, top with a quarter-slice of American cheese, and cook 30–45 seconds more until melted.

Let the Cheese Bread cool for 5 minutes and slice in half horizontally.

Layer the bottom mini bun, spread, pickles, tomato, lettuce, cheesy patty, onions, and the top bun (with more spread), and serve. Enjoy!
