Blending limes, rind and all, gives Brazilian Lemonade all of the juiciness of the fruit plus the flavor of the oils in the rind.
• 3 limes
• 5 cups of cold water
• 1/3 cup of white granulated sugar
• 1 jigger or roughly 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk (optional)
• Lots of ice
Scrub limes under water; cut off their tops and bottoms; quarter what’s remaining.
Place limes – rind and all!- into a blender with sugar, water and condensed milk (if you’re using it). Pulse approximately half a dozen times.
Pass mixture through a strainer and pour it over ice. Drink immediately.
