Brazilian Chocolate Truffles aka Brigadeiro

A birthday party in Brazil just isn’t a birthday party without Brazilian Chocolate Truffles. Think fudge balls-meet-truffles with only 4 ingredients.

Brazilian Chocolate Truffles aka Brigadeiro

Makes approximately 25 truffles

Ingredients:

• 1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
• 3 T of cocoa powder
• 3 T of butter (and extra butter for hand rolling)
• 1 cup of sprinkles (use chocolate or multicolored, or both!)

 

Preparation:

STEP 1

Melt butter in saucepan over medium-low heat along with cocoa and condensed milk, while stirring constantly.

STEP 2

Reduce heat and continue to stir for 8-10 minutes as contents thicken.

STEP 3

Turn off heat and let it cool to room temp – about 15 minutes.

STEP 4

Lightly butter your hands, scoop up a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball with your hands. Coat ball in plate of sprinkles.

STORE

Store in sealed container for up to 4 weeks in the refrigerator.
